What happens at the consultation?

First, there is a 15 minute video call consultation to learn about your space and what you want organized. During this consultation I will see the space to get an idea of what is needed and ensure we are a good fit to work together.

Are you going to make me throw everything away?

You will never be forced to throw away or donate any items! Organizing can be a very emotional process, and although efforts may be made to let go of some things, the decision will ALWAYS be yours! The more you can edit out of your space, the easier the process will be and the better end result you will get.

Are the products included? Do I have to buy new products?

The price of new products are not included in the organizing service pricing. I will give suggestions on product that will enhance the space. I do charge additionally for shopping hours, although I strive to be as efficient as possible when buying product for your space. I am always happy to use items you already own as well. New product is not mandatory for organizing, but it does tend to allow for more functionality and better long term results.

Should I clean up before you come over?

It is very important to keep the space exactly how it is, so that I can see the problems you are running into in that particular area. You are in a judgement-free zone working with me and my team! It will be more beneficial to the process if nothing is changed before we see it.

Do you take my donations and trash away for me?

We do not take any donations or trash off of your premises. If you are expecting to get rid of a large amount of items we are happy to offer a list of dumpster/junk hauler services and/or donation drop off centers for you to review.

Do I need to be home while you’re working?

We have clients of all kinds. Some are very busy which is why they hire us in the first place! Others want to be part of the process every step of the way. We are totally fine with both, we just ask that you be present for the decluttering part of the job so that we know which items have permission to be donated/trashed and which items will stay in your space.
